In January 2025 there will be new episodes of the ARD series “Nord bei Nordwest”. In the first episode, Hannah Wagner unexpectedly announces her engagement.

Dortmund – The new year brings with it new episodes of the popular crime series “Nord bei Nordwest”. ARD has already confirmed the start and broadcast dates of the three new episodes. As usual, these will be broadcast in January. The first episode begins dramatically – in addition to an exciting case, Hannah Wagner (played by Jana Klinge) returns from vacation and unexpectedly quits the police service. She is engaged.

At the beginning of the episode, both Hannah and veterinary assistant Jule Christiansen (Marleen Lohse) return from vacation. While Jule only brings two Dalmatians with her, Hannah surprises her colleague Hauke Jacobs (Hinnerk Schönemann) with a different souvenir.

She met a man on vacation, is engaged and wants to move to Hawaii with him. That’s why when she returns she quits her job as a police officer and only works two days in Schwanitz. On the evening of her last day at work, the plane leaves (more TV news on RUHR24).

While Jule is happy for Hannah, Hauke’s joy is limited. After all, there are special moments between colleagues every now and then – both at the police station and in the veterinary practice. For a few episodes it has been exciting for the fans of “Nord bei Nordwest” whether Hauke’s heart beats for Jule or Hannah.

Hannah now seems to have made this decision for him. But despite their engagement, there are always sizzling moments between Hauke and Hannah in the last days of work. Is emigrating and getting married really the right path for you?

“Nord bei Nordwest” on ARD: Mysterious murder cases in Schwanitz

In addition to the characters’ private problems, there is also a case to solve. Right at the beginning, the two Dalmatians that Jule brought back from vacation are kidnapped. A short time later, two bodies are discovered on the country road. A motorcyclist hit a woman and died.

The woman is a diplomat, which is why a Chinese special investigator even got involved. All traces seem to lead to the newly opened Asian restaurant “Mandarin”. Apparently something isn’t going well there – or is everything completely different than it seems?

“Nord bei Nordwest” on ARD: Will Hannah leave Schwanitz?

In her search for the Dalmatians, Jule puts herself in danger and Hauke also tries every way to solve the mysterious case. He still has the support of Hannah, who also introduces the happy fiancé to her friends from Schwanitz. Hauke is anything but enthusiastic.

At the end of the episode there is a big chase. Hannah is about to leave town, but realizes that she is still needed. So she leaves her fiancé’s car and offers a last-minute rescue. Ultimately she decides to stay in Schwanitz.

The first episode of “Nord bei Nordwest” is called “Fat Duck with Mushrooms” and is running on January 2, 2025 at 8:15 p.m on ARD. We will then continue with two additional episodes next year. But an episode of “Nord bei Nordwest” has already been filmed for 2026.
