Day 30 with ROG Strix XG27UCG and Hogwarts Legacy

The PlayStation Advent Calendar 2024 has reached the finale. Sony will not be giving away a PS5 Pro in the 30th Anniversary Edition or similar on December 24, 2024. However, the main winner can receive a gaming monitor.

Sony is ending it PlayStation Advent Calendar 2024. After 30 days of winnings and looking back at 30 years of PlayStation history, the promotion closes with a main prize, this time a gaming monitor from ASUS.

The winnings on Christmas Eve

The main prize on the final day is the ROG Strix XG27UCG gaming monitor, worth around 440 euros. The action adventure is a secondary prize “Hogwart’s Legacy”. Additionally, instant winners will receive an exclusive PSN avatar depicting a wizard.

The competition mode remains the same as the previous days: participants need credits, which can be collected through various activities on the PlayStation platform. These include, among other things, daily logins, completing tasks or earning trophies. A ticket for the raffle costs 750 credits.

Review: The year 2023

In addition to the daily prices, Sony looks back at the news of 2023. There were two controllers: the Access controllersa modular kit for accessible gaming, and the DualSense Edgedesigned for more demanding gamers.

New audio products are also highlighted: the Pulse Explore Earbuds and that Pulse Elite Headset. The latter, however, only appeared at the beginning of 2024, but at least the announcement was made in 2023.

The beginning of 2023 came PlayStation VR2 to the market. With 4K HDR resolution, OLED displays and immersive haptic feedback, the virtual reality experience on PlayStation 5 has been taken to a new level. There was no great success.
