Archbishop Rainer Cardinal Woelki – Pilgrim of Hope

Today, December 24th, the Archbishop of Cologne, Rainer Cardinal Woelki, will look at the Christmas story with us. The story often sounds like a nostalgic tale from an ideal world. But there is much more to the message of the angels – a message of hope, more relevant than ever.

This Advent, archbishops and bishops accompany us with impulses through the time of preparation for the celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ, Christmas. Under the motto “Pilgrims of Hope” we are taken into the motto of the Holy Year 2025, which is also the Holy Father’s prayer request for December.
